The Katie Elise Lambert Foundation’s Memorial Butterfly Release and Safety Event held on August 14, 2010, at Jeanes Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia was a smashing success. It is estimated that the total crowd was as high as 650 people, triple last year’s total. We want to thank everyone who attended and especially thank the people who released butterflies.
Many thanks to our board, our wonderful volunteers,
our sponsors, Ruth Frazier and her beautiful
music and our good friend Chippy the Clown.
We very much appreciate, all of the groups
and organizations that took the time and trouble
to staff a booth. Thank you to our dynamic
and impassioned speakers, Joey Fortman and
Kim Packard and a very special thank you to
the management and staff at Jeanes Hospital,
especially CEO, Linda J. Grass. We could not
have done this without you.
The Katie Elise Lambert Foundation looks forward to seeing everyone at the 2011 Memorial Butterfly Release and Safety Event.

Katie Elise Lambert was born one beautiful hot
summer day, July 30th, 2001. She was an
incredible gift from God with bright brown
eyes and soft silky brown hair. From day
one, her contagious smile and loving personality
infected all those around her. Sadly and
suddenly, on January 21, 2005, our precious
angel Katie was taken from us when a large
wardrobe cabinet fell on top of her. Her
untimely and cruel death have left us incomplete.
Katie has left behind two older brothers,
two grieving parents and countless others
whose lives have been changed forever.
The creation of the Katie Elise Lambert website
has been established for two reasons:
|
- To educate the public on the potential
hazard of falling furniture
- To help ensure and protect the safety of
all children both inside and outside the
home.
